Divine Love

By Karlo Broussard
Divine Love

God is love. He loved each and every human person into existence. Therefore, our deepest identity is found in magnifying this love. Every official teaching of the Catholic Church stems from this.

In the video below, Catholic apologist and speaker Karlo Broussard briefly explains faith question #1: Divine Love, one of the faith related questions you’ll find on CatholicChemistry.com dating profiles.

St. John writes in his first letter, chapter four, verse 8, that God is love. And since we’re created in his image and likeness, our deepest identity lies in manifesting that love. How are we to do that? Well, John tells us that God manifested his love by sending his Son to die for our sins. So, if we are to manifest God’s love, we must sacrifice ourselves for the good of others, from the mundane things of everyday life to the greatest sacrifice of giving up our lives.
